| Teacher Doris Sprentall, Downtown Ann Arbor Kiwanians Jeannine LaSovage and Gene Parola, and Rachel Knopf from the University of Michigan's Key Club jointly helped Slauson Middle School students to create this Ann Arbor club in spring 2000. |  |

| In the first few months, the club helped to clean Eberwhite Woods, helped with a Red Cross blood drive, and began regular visits to the Anna Botsford Bach Retirement Home. The residents seemed to enjoy it when we sang for them. [That's Tamzin and Katie at right.] |
 See more Botsford Bach photos here | Doris also brought her dog, Reba, to the Home once, and she was a tremendous hit! Many residents had had pets of their own at one time but, of course, can no longer enjoy that kind of company where they live now. Reba's tail never stopped wagging, so she must have had a good time, too! [That's Doris and Reba at left.] |

| Another club project was to help the Kiwanis with bell-ringing for the Salvation Army at Christmas time. [That's Liz and Tracey at right.] |

| A major ongoing project has been visiting regularly at the Ann Arbor Veterans Administration Hospital Nursing Home, in addition to the Botsford Bach Home. Besides talking with residents, we decorate the cafeteria and bulletin boards, and make 200 meal tray favors twice a month. Many groups and individuals help us collect socks, toiletries, and recent magazines for the VA residents' enjoyment. See some of our photos here. | |
| Planned projects include participation in the Christmas in April fix-up of a house and yard in Ann Arbor, and in the Huron River Cleanup Days at Gallup Park. |
