  Dan Geck - Chiropractor

People or experiences that led me to where I am

I was very sick with chronic fatigue when I was 19. I found that medicine was great for emergency situations but didn’t restore health. I met a doctor at that time who practiced natural restorative health care, which led to my healing.

How I got into this field

I had never thought about going into this field before encountering my own health problems at age 19. When I was taking classes at EMU, I stumbled upon a doctor who was helping people heal themselves through a type of restorative health care. Part of what he did was chiropractic, and the rest was Clinical Nutrition. I saw that there are very few doctors who offer this kind of care and immediately saw a need for it. That is when I signed up for chiropractic college and began going to conferences and seminars, and reading extracurricular study material. The rest of the picture unfolded.

What I like most about my work

I like seeing people “get it” when they hear the proper approach the healing the human body. Most of all, I love seeing people’s relief when they finally regain their health after having been sick and trying so hard for so long.

This field is all about learning. Every time you learn about a different aspect of the body, you begin to see patients with that particular problem. This is a field in which there will always be new things to learn and explore.
