Become a World of Work Provider!
How did we choose our first line of work or career? Most people do more research when buying their first cars than they do before choosing a college, a major, or a career! Where we end up is too often dependent on who we know or chance encounters. We cannot aspire to careers we don’t know exist. Youth and young adults need to explore who they are, what their talents and skills are, and the range of fields that might fit. They need to hear that we have many paths in our journey, that in a global and education-based economy, ongoing learning is crucial in all fields. They must understand how they learn. They must see what training, education, and testing is required in various fields. And, in today’s upended economy, adults need these kinds of help just as much, as they must be “re-fitted” to new lines of work.
Who can help our youth and displaced adults? We can.
How You Can Help
World of Work finds people who love their work to share what they do, by coming to classrooms, youth groups, or events to do career presentations and/or by offering workplace or lab tours or job shadowing. Eventually, we hope to offer virtual tours and shadowing through on-line video, but the written descriptions you offer can be available today as resources for anyone with Internet access.
Please peruse our tour, job shadow, and presentation offerings to see what we mean. Then, if you are ready to dive in, download, fill in, and return by email these provider forms:

Keep in mind that you can limit your service offerings by age or size of group, or to a geographic area or organization. Some providers, for example, will make presentations only at their own children’s schools.
