This lesson was developed by the Center for Analysis and Prediction of Storms (CAPS), funded by the National Science Foundation. CAPS develops techniques for the prediction of small-scale weather. A special focus is finding ways to better forecast and so warn people about thunderstorms, tornados, and other potentially hazardous weather conditions.
