John Nees, Assistant Research Scientist at the Center for Ultrafast Optical Science,
coordinated the secondary club after Andy Rundquist received his degree and
left the University of Michigan. While John was good at devising experiments
and demonstrations for his teens, he was not so great at documenting them!
Here is the only photo we have found. After doing a number of activities
exploring states of matter and physical properties using liquid nitrogen,
the group used it to make instant ice creamand then ate their results!
That's John at far right.
