Is This Club Active?No, but we hope to repeat it. This was a fun day
of hands-on science for fifth graders.
We made rocket
cars! This experiment took a lot of help, since the cars
perform better if the styrofoam parts are cut precisely. But they
were fun and we got to take them home! Joyce Sutton from CUOS and Cherita Hunter from the UM
chapter of NSBE (the National Society of Black Engineers) helped
to organize; NSBE members and other UM volunteers helped with
construction. The Kroger store on Plymouth Road in Ann Arbor
donated the styrofoam trays. |
