Leaders in Aviation Maintenance Training
Kevin Burchett, Director of Admissions
You are invited ... to see airplanes as never before, from the eyes of the professionals who keep them flying!
Do you like to work with your hands and have above-average mechanical ability? Are you interested in a career you can start with just 18 months of post-high-school trainingand yet have the ability to advance into management later with more education if you so desire? Then you may wish to investigate aircraft and avionics maintenance as a possible career field. This can be a life-long career for you, one that grows in responsibility along with your skills and experience.
The Michigan Institute of Aeronautics, at Willow Run Airport in Belleville, Michigan, near the border of Wayne and Washtenaw Counties, is considered one of the finest such training facilities in the nation. On your tour, you can find out what it takes to become an FAA-Licensed Mechanic, how the job market looks and where our graduates work, the compensation and benefits available, the details of our training program, and how this training can be the basis for two- and four-year degree programs should our graduates wish to continue.
